The property is located within one of the apartment blocks designed by Edoardo Gellner, the Istrian architect and one of the founding members of INARCH, who profoundly marked the architecture of Cortina D'ampezzo in the 1950s.

In particular, we find ourselves in the Residence Palace, one of the works designed for the 1956 Winter Olympics, where all the characteristic themes of mountain architecture recur, both in its more vernacular and in its more contemporary meaning: the use of fair-faced concrete, stone, both as cladding and in irregular pieces on the floor, and, of course, the use of wood, both as cladding and in the form of brise-soleil.

A gradual cycle of work aims to clean up certain areas of the specific building unit, used for tourist accommodation, while maintaining the general character of the house, which is now also completed with interesting pieces of furniture.

A central element to the project is of course the use of wood, which is present in the suspended ceilings, wall coverings and new furniture, which together with the colour also allows the new elements to be perfectly integrated.

In particular, the sage green that characterises old mountain furniture, partly inherited from the Venetian style, is used in a very sober and delicate manner often found in furniture in the typical Tyrolean style.
